An Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) is a structured system used to record and control hazardous materials onboard a vessel. There are three parts to an IHM:
– Part I (structure & equipment)
– Part II (operational hazardous waste)
– Part III (hazardous materials in stores)
In order to comply with standards set out in the European Union Ship Recycling (EU SRR) regulation and Hong Kong Convention (HKC) the above mentioned parts I, II and III must be created and regularly updated.
